STM32 Availability Requests: Specify the Exact MCU and Delivery Need

Prepare an STM32 RFQ with the complete ordering code, package, memory, temperature grade, programming needs and confirmed delivery requirements.

To check STM32 availability, send a complete manufacturer ordering code and a dated quantity requirement. A family name such as STM32F1, STM32F4 or STM32H7 is too broad for a dependable quotation. Availability must be confirmed against a specific offered variant and lot; a general article cannot establish current stock.

Start with the approved ordering code

Copy the part number directly from the approved BOM and compare it with ST’s ordering information. Preserve every suffix that identifies the required package, temperature grade or packing option. The STM32F407VE manufacturer page provides a datasheet, ordering information and supporting documentation for that particular device. Use the corresponding official page for each MCU being purchased.

If the only evidence is a board photograph or abbreviated top marking, identify the device before issuing a production order. Include the board reference designator and the existing approved BOM entry to reduce confusion between visually similar packages.

Separate procurement requirements from design flexibility

State the quantity needed for evaluation, the first production build and later releases separately. Specify the required arrival date rather than an ambiguous request for immediate delivery. Ask the quotation to distinguish material available for the offered shipment from material dependent on a future supply commitment.

List alternatives only when engineering has approved them. A change of Flash capacity, package or MCU series can affect the linker configuration, peripheral assignment and firmware behavior. If alternatives are merely being investigated, mark them as candidates and request a separate comparison rather than allowing silent substitution.

Confirm lot and production requirements

Request packing format, lot or date-code information, applicable documentation and the proposed shipment schedule. Specify any restrictions that affect assembly, including tray or reel handling and moisture-sensitive packaging. Agree on inspection and acceptance requirements before purchasing.

For programmed material, define the firmware image, option-byte configuration and verification method separately from the bare-device order. Ensure that the production team can program and test the offered variant with its existing fixtures. Keep the quotation, approved part number and acceptance record connected to the same purchase line.

Frequently asked questions

Does a manufacturer’s active lifecycle status prove stock is available?

No. Lifecycle status and a supplier’s deliverable quantity are different facts. Obtain a current quotation for the exact ordering code and required shipment.

Can a higher-memory STM32 be accepted automatically?

No. Engineering should confirm the package, pin functions, memory map and software behavior before purchasing treats it as an approved alternate.

Send SENICO an STM32 availability RFQ with the complete part number, quantity and required date. Price, offered material and delivery timing require quotation confirmation.
